7 Moving Boxes You Need To Purchase When Relocating

You’ve got help with your move, but it is up to you to purchase the moving boxes. It may seem daunting at first because there are so many options available. We have created a list of seven different types of moving boxes that will make life easier for you during the relocation process.

1. Large Picture Boxes

You may have a few large, heavy items that require sturdy boxes. These are meant to carry the weight of glass or similarly fragile items. They are typically around 12” x 12” x 12” and should be filled with lighter materials so the box doesn’t break.

2. Small Moving Boxes

This is your standard household box. We recommend a pack of 25 small boxes for smaller items such as books, kitchen stuff, and knickknacks. Use this for lighter items to make your life easier when packing! If you have a lot of larger heavier items that require a stronger box, purchase an X-large moving box or wardrobe box.

3.X-Large Moving Boxes

If you have heavy items in your home, such as appliances or large furniture, these are the boxes for you! These boxes are built to carry the weight of these heavier objects. They also come in many different sizes (from 10” x 10” x 10”, to 10” x 10” x 20”).

4. Wardrobe Boxes

These are similar to picture boxes but box-shaped with a door on the front. They are 12″ X 22″ X 16″, which is deep enough for most winter coats or slipcovers, but will also work for storing some smaller and lighter items.

5. Kitchen Dish Boxes

If you have a lot of kitchen items, such as plates, cups, glasses, bowls, and cutlery that need protection during the move or storage period before you unpack – order some boxes for this exact purpose! They are 16” x 13” x 11″, which gives you enough space for larger items such as cups and cereal bowls.

6. TV Box Kit

If you have a lot of media and electronics in your home – order some boxes that will protect them during the move! The kit includes two large boxes, one small box, and five medium boxes.

7. Frame Boxes

You may want to pack some items, such as paintings or other framed items. These are perfect for storing and covering these types of objects. They have enough spaces for you to store them safely, and they come in different shapes and sizes.
